Hey Classic Owners: If you were King for the Day, what TWO things would you change at HD about the current RKC model to give it more nostalgia...what would they be?
I'd like to see a Heritage Springer type front fender and a railed seat like on the Deluxe on my RKC of the future.
I too would like to see some sort of seat rail like the Deluxe has or Heritage Springer had.
Interesting opinion on the fender, I don't think it would suit our style FL frame, but may be different. I could swear i saw a Road King on Ebay have something similar not too long ago. It was custom made.

Well, I think that they REALLY should mount up a TOMBSTONE tail light with complementing turn signals, and the windshield could be more retro. I added a chrome bead around mine. I got it at a retro car parts shop in town, and it was $1.25 per foot, cost $11.00 total, and it really changed the look of the windshield...

Is that the same thing as door edge guard that's available at auto parts stores?
Before I sent my fender off to be painted, I thought about filling it in and using a tombstone light. But with all of the inattentive drivers, I want as much light back there as I can get.

I am using a turn/brake/running module with the turn signals, so they add plenty of light to the tombstone ... is working pretty good for me ....

I'm running a Custom Dynamics module myself. Added bullet lenses to the turn signals which brightens them up even more.
I got my new exhaust bolted on, just need to find a place to get the missing heat shield piece. The one piece that covers up the junction at the rear pipe.
