Those are totally awesome bikes, I love the nostalgic look...
Whiskers, that's a Metzeler ME880 tire... I'mswitching to those from Dunlops on my Electra Glide. The Metzelers are an excellent tire and give great mileage. I got 17,000 miles on a rear tire withan ME880on a metric cruiserI have.
That's some damn good mileage out of a Metzeler. I get about 8,000 out of my rears, but close to 30,000 out of the front. 16,000 in so far this year, and just put my 3rd rear on for the year...

I love the Metzelers but I agree, the mileage is NOT good on them. My last rear tire was showing a LOT of thread at 10,000 miles!!!

I found the 880's lasted much longer with 48-50 psi in the rear.
Been running some WWW Shinko 777's. Handle and stick great but wear is even worse than the Metzlers. On my 3rd rear to this front. Trying higher psi on it now too. Good thing I change my own tires. If this one doesnt last any longer I'll go back to Dunlops. I dont ride this thing like a sportbike anyway, I have a sportbike for that
I've been running the Shinko 777s as well, and I'm not very impressed with the wear. They stick real good to the road, and feel very nice, but they sure could last somewhat longer in my opinion...
Hard to beat $150 shipped for a pair of WWW though. I spoke to the Shinko rep at Muskegon Bike Time and asked about the 250 and he said with the RK stay with the 777.
