Default lower jug gasket leaking?

I have a 2013 sg with 1600 miles on it that I bought at the end of april. Today I was taking a small ride around town and during a stop I noticed a small amount of seeping coming from the lower jug gasket. It is where the jug bolts to the lower end or crankcase if you will, anyone else having this problem? I hate to have to let the local stealership pull my top end apart to replace the gaskets. Is it possible that the jug just needs retorqued?

Take it back to the dealer. Even though it's a fairly common thing, it is a new bike under warranty. Your expensive machine should not leak.

Screw it...bring it in to the dealer. What you don't need is them telling you that they see evidence of you working on it and voiding your warrantee.

I agree with all the above. Don't give them a reason to void your warranty. If they screw it up they'll have to make it right.

Even though it could be assy lube id take it in. I rebuilt mine and with 3k on it now I still get some residue at the cyl bases between washes.

It's most likely just excessive assembly lube from the assembly process. Wash it down good and see if it stops. If it doesn't then I would take to the dealer.

Can you post a picture? Its most likely assembly lube. This is what my 2013 FLTRU looked like at about 700 miles. Sprayed it with a little brake cleaner and It has not returned since, I've got close to 6K on it now.

Take it and let them look at it, my 2013 did the same at 3,000 and when the dealer tore it down there was no gasket from the factory. Also if you plan to put pipes and a/c on then would be the time, dealer put mine on no charge, Harley is paying the labor.
