Anyone removing tour pack purchase solid gloss black strut covers
I removed my tour pack and need to replace my strut covers with the solid ones like on a street glide. I have found where I can order a pair of new black gloss ones for $93.00. It looks like the chrome ones are about $260.00.Since I have a vivid black bike I thought the black would be fine even though my bike is not blacked out. Has anyone purchased these? Just wondering how the quality is, it says they are original factory replacement parts. Also if anyone knows where chrome ones can be purchased cheaper than $260.00 I would be interested. Thanks.
I can't believe how much HD has jacked the price of the chrome strut covers. When I bought mine 4 yrs ago I think I paid around $75 each, and now they are 260 a pair? This past winter I bought a used set for $35,that might be the way for you to go,and get them PCd
Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. Part # 47498-09
I can order these from LSHD1 total price with shipping $97.95. I have never done any business with LSHD1 and I'm always leary the first time I place an order with a company. Should I have any concerns with this company ?
No issues with lakeshore only negative is it takes a week or two to get your parts. Usually only a day or two longer than if you had to special order them from local dealer.
