Going to test ride a RK Classic tomorrow. Got to get an early start before the heat.
I had previously owned an Ultra Classic and been without a touring bike for a couple of years.
I was curious how the heat is on the '13's? Do you cook or is it not as bad as it had been on my 2008 Ultra Classic? Also can you resolve the heat issue (if there is any) with slip on's, K&N, and a Power Commander with a canned map?
Any other comments on the bike?
I still have a '95 Springer Evo and love that I can ride in 90 degree weather and not cook on it.
new head pipes ,either the pc 5 or the stag 1 down load ,I got a 2011 with the 103 ,first thing I did was power duels and stag 1 down load ,no heat ,now 2 years later I put on the high out put mufflers and the pc5 ,very nice up grade ,not the best but nice ,im very happy , it needs nothing now ,well maybe it needs cleaned
Went for a ride on the 4th on the RKC (stock) ... strong wind from left to right (20 knts +) coming back ... heat was off the chart on the right side (wind shadow) .. will be decatting this week ...
To do the job right ,you still need a cam with some overlap. you can throw all the fuel you want at the motor,it'll only cool it so much................
