They will give you more room to tighten things up. Have fun.

This one doesn't do that.
I forgot and spoke too soon, sorry. Pull the center rod out far enough to insert the tool into the bearing, then push the center rod back in after gently tapping the tool into the bearing. I'm sorry for any confusion, been a while.

Ok so it should need some force to go into the bearing? Just scared to tap it in. So do I even use the plate to remove them or is it just for install? Thanks for the quick replies.

Just finished installing a set of Woods cams in mine and my dads bike. I took my time, triple checked everything and had a blast doing it. Both bikes run so much better now. Have fun.

Can you provide more details? What kind of bike and what are you using exhaust, intake, and fuel management?

I'm torn between doing just cams or a complete 107" build.

Thanks

2009 Streetglide, screamin eagle ventilator, k&n filter, rinehart true duals, screamin eagle pro super tuner. Putting in 255 cams, SE tapered quick install pushrods, Torrington bearings (cam install kit from fuel moto). Going to get it retuned after I get all this in, not using a dyno though.

Removed the bearings, installed new ones, new cams are in and cam cover is on. Just replaced the pushrod o-rings and taking a break before I install pushrods. Wondering if I should go 2 1/2 turns or 3? SE tapered pushrods. I've read that people do both, but wondering what the difference would be? Noise?
