2000 flhtcui cruise stop working. wont activate at all with bike running but if you hit the set button while bike is shut off the green indicator light will come on. changed the bars previously but didn't have issue for a while after. changed throttle cable at that time and done away with roll off switch but still worked. any body have a way to diagnose problem. pretty new to newer bikes. understand old shovelheads a lot better. rode them for 20+ years. please help

 

First thing to do is check that your brake lights are working properly, cruise will not work if there is a brake light problem.

 

You can locate a diagnostic procedure if you use the search function at the top of the forum. Try using cruise control diagnostic as the search terms.

 

checked brake lights and they seem to be working fine. search for diagnostics but they appear to be for newer than 2000. ben trying to follow pushing trip button and turning key on and the only thing I have happen is the red engine lite blinks fast enough it hard to count. I think it blinks 15 times. all other codes on odometer seem to be clear and there seem to be no recalls active on this bike. any other ideas
