dunlop knows they have a problem, dealer replaced my front tire at 2500 miles due to cracking. keep making them give you new tires until it's out of warrenty and then change brands.
Wasn't trying to be an a$$....but 4 tires in one year? Who does that?
After about the second try I'd have gone to a different Dunlop or changed brands and been done with it. Not much fun in replacing tires at the dealer over and over and over.
Thought you were either trolling or a glutton for punishment. Thus my comment.
Good luck - hope you get it worked out.
Had mine replaced a couple weeks ago at around 3500. Two other SGs in the lot at work (when they ride) one is a 12 and the other an early 13, both have cracks as well as a 12 Black Line with Dunlops.
On a side note the tire they replaced my front with looks very different from the old one. Not the tread but the rubber. Hard to explain.
Well guess who's gonna take a REAL close look at his tires when he gets home tonight?!?
Mine was mostly on the right side of the side wall (same with the others I looked at) and on the center of the tire it looked like someone took a knife and made a small cut at every spot where the tread came together at the points.
I've replaced the front tire on my 12 SG because of the cracking once. The second tire is doing the same damn thing. I'm over it with the Dunlops. I'm not going to do this every couple of months so I'm switching brands.
I know this is a touring thread, but I thought I'd share. This was a tire I got from an indy-less than a year old. Replaced it this spring with a Commander II.

Clearly I'm a glutton for punishment! Took the bike to the dealer and they didn't even roll their eyes so that's an improvement this time. They received a new batch of tires in last week so we will do this one more time Then its time for a change. Thanks for the replies everyone.
