Default Custom front wheel only, really a big deal???

I have three mods planned for my Road King. Apes, exhaust, and a 21 front wheel. I had planned on installing one of the Fat Spoke wheels such as the Ride Wright, DNA, or King Spoke, but I was only planning to do the front. Given the fact you can see so little of the back wheel anyhow, is this that big of a deal? Especially given the fact that the factory mag on the Anniversary models are already chrome, and look fairly similar to the fat spoke wheels to begin with. I guess my question is, will an aftermarket fat spoke wheel look goofy when paired up with the stock chrome Anni. mag? Opinions please.

As much as a new rear wheel cost that you can not even see much of, I would probably go new front wheel only at first. If it looks jacked up then maybe replace the rear also.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm thinking. Thanks.

I don't think so I want to run 21 spoke front and solid 16 rear combo ,with the extended bags.

Yeah, that's the exact setup I ran on my Dyna. A King Spoke 21 up front and a Fat Boy chrome disc in the back. I was cool with it.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing with a contrast cut 21" up front and a stock wheel on the back. Looks good IMO, like you said rear wheel is covered by the bags anyway.

Thanks for the replies. Just doing the front wheel will probably be all I do.

It matters to me. You can see the rear wheel and it looks as though the owner either "cheaped out" or said f&*k it. Either way, it looks unfinished to me. If it doesn't bother you, you have saved about a grand, so congrats.

No, that's why I ask opinions first. On my Dyna, no, it didn't bother me as that was the intended look. Much like Harley intended the Deuce to look that way with their disc/spoke combo. But on a touring bike, I am a bit concerned. I just don't know if I a am grand worth of concerned when theres other stuff I want to do. Its a hard to see wheel for sure, but its not invisible. I guess with stretched bags, it would matter less, but I have not committed myself yet to the Fat Bagger look. I enjoy responses, both pro and con. I would not ask if I just wanted people to agree with me to reply.

that is usually my exact thought, but in this case he already has a chrome wheel on the rear so i think it will look fine, i actually going to run a solid rear chrome when i do my front wheel too. fact that you see so little of the wheel i think the solid chrome rear looks great.
