I had almost the same exact thing happen with my lift.
Had a roll around around stool that got suck under one side of the lift, and when I went to let the bike down,
the lift only went down on one side, the chair held up the other side.
I didn't even have the bike strapped down, only the front wheel **** held it in place.
As it came down on it's side, I was stuck between the bike and a filing cabinet, as it kept coming down.
I couldn't get to the pedal to stop it. I didn't know whether to try to hold the bike up, or try to get unstuck and get to the pedal.
First though was how the hell did the table go down like that, I thought they were built to go down level, had no idea they would even go down at an angle like that!
Luckily the bike held firm, even at a severe angle! I was very surprised at that!

Lesson well learned, NEVER step away from the pedal when bringing the bike down!
Also, ALWAYS make sure there is nothing under the lift before you let it down.

The lift groaned a bit, and finally brough the bike back up to level.
I wish I had taken some pics, but I just wanted to get the bike level again before it fell off the lift!

Thanks for posting, I thought I was the only one this happened to..haha

LOL...........Well I should have known I wasn't the only one! My front wheel was squeaking and making noises like it was gonna pop out. Luckily I fished my foot control out from under the lift with my foot and never had to let go to see if it would have held.....I think the table and all would have fallen over!!! That was my impression during the panic of the moment anyway.

I enjoyed reading everybody's comments. I was tempted to respond to just about every one of them, but I didn't really have the time, plus this would have turned into one of those marathon "oil thread" deals........and we wouldn't want that!
