Both and lot more to stay little comfortable like hydration vest or neck cooler bandanna thingy.
+1
The mid frame deflectors work OK, better than not having them.
I think the best comfort against the heat though are my hydration vest & bandanas. It's the norm to ride in 110+ temps here in So. AZ, those items make a big difference for me. Important to stay hydrated too- drink plenty of water.
Ok we need everyone to verify their expiration date on their man cards. Grow a bigger pair. To hot...to cold, my hair gets tangled in the wind. Actually (reaching over to ****** man card away) SWIFT kick in the arss... Get the hell out of here. lol
In the cages they have AC, and heat to accommodate you on those long trips.
HARLEY DAVIDSON riders!
I'm quickly finding out that the Wards fan I just got is not only cooling the engine down, but as a result (with thermo switch) greatly reduces the heat radiated off the fuel tank and surroundings...=making stops and not sitting on a "stove burner".

Ok, I give. Here's my card. When it hit's 90 here and we are usually over 90% humidity my fat *** is gonna be in the AC somewhere. Besides it has rained like a cow pissing on a flat rock every damned day at some point. I am thinking about selling out and building a real big boat.
What works for me:
-Cat gone, Power Duals on.
-RJ's Originals No More Fried Thighs heat deflectors
-HD Ventilator Pads (Seat and back)
-Under Armor Cool Max tee and shorts
-Camelbak Podium Chill water bottle chilled and filled
-Avoid stop and go city traffic
-Hydrate often and ride safe!
