Wondering if anyone has had a good experience upgrading just the speakers on a street glide without amping them? I will amp if that's what I gotta do, just trying to get something a little better, not trying to win a sound competition. Any advice would be great.
Ive read a lot of good things about JL, etc. but everything is amped.
Speed is just a question of money, how much do you want to spend?
Seriously though, it all depends on what your requirements are. What works for one guy doesn't work for another. I have the Boom Amp and Boom speakers and it works just good enough for me. My neighbor just installed the hogtunes speakers and pod and it works for him (no amp). Then there are the guys who go hog wild and install a system that can be hear 3 blocks away.
Your better off posting this kind of question in the audio section. Spend some time there and read what others have done and the feedback/input they have.
I was thinking of going with the boom for now, as long as its atleast somewhat noticeable sound quality. Havent had much luck finding anything online about them, unless im looking it the wrong places.
I upgraded to Boom! speakers and have since upgraded further to Rockford Fosgate speakers and amp. Personally I would skip the first step next time--the RF upgrade wasn't that expensive.
