BR's was a good suggestion.
Prime Apes seem to be angled back further?
I'm hearing good things about Torch Industries.
I looked at Bad Dad's 975's the other day. They seem to angle back more but also look to be wider?

If you are sure MBB's were right except angle then I would call Yaffe and explain. I bet they could make you some one off bars to fit your need.

On my old Road King I had HUGE between the shoulders pain!!! I got a rider backrest and it completely disappeared. I also changed bars to a more relaxed hand position.

When I got my FLHTK, I went right away with an adjustable backrest (the only way to go!) and new bars. I've never experienced any of that pain on this bike

Well it sounds like a backrest is in my near future. I'm leaning towards Mustang as they're a bit cheaper and seem to get good reviews. I'm not a big fan of the MBB with their horn like peaks so I don't want anything with that style, but am open to other suggestions.

Thanks everyone for all the help.

Oh, sorry. For some reason I thought you liked that style. So that negates my whole post except the BR suggestion I guess.

Well, I suggest going through your memory banks of bars you have tried. Something you liked but wish it was higher/lower. Something you liked but wish they were more angled toward/away from you.Either call that company and see if they can make something for you, or call up a shop like BR's that advertise making custom bars for you specifically. If you check YouTube for BR's they have several videos. Video's that walk you through figuring out the perfect bars.

I went with the WO 577's but everyone is built differently.

A rider backrest and properly placed foot pegs can make a huge difference but if your handlebars don't fit you you're not gonna be comfortable on your bike.

Someone else made a good comment about helmets.

The newer helmets are definitely lighter and are much more comfortable than older ones.

Another thing that can cause that "pain between the shoulder blades" is having a windshield that is too low.
Wind pressure, especially on a long ride can also contribute to a sore back.

I would suggest seeing A good Chiropractor before spending a lot of loot on handlebars.

Just ordered a Mustang backrest. Model # 79610 from Denniskirk. Should be here by Friday.

I agree with the others, backrest. I had the dealer include one in my deal along with a center stand. I will not own another bike without one. It takes weight off of your arms (you are not pulling yourself up supporting your weight) and makes rides so much more enjoyable. I would try that before investing in bars.
