Default Passing Lamps wire sheath help.

Hello, all. I am wondering if you all can give me some advice. last night I just picked up my new Road King. after a ride today I came home and was wiping some bugs off the bike and noticed the left side wiring that goes into blinker / passing lamps the sheath does not go all the way into the housing as it does on the right side. I did try to see if I could slide some of it in but that is not an option is everything is tight. the question I have is is this a big deal to leave it as it is or is there a simple way for me to fix it but I am just not finding?

Thanks for any advice or feedback you may have

Ride safe.

I'd put a dab of rubber silicone on it and call it a day.
Remember to smoothly mold silicone all you need to do is spit on your finger and rub the silicone gently to get it where you want it.

Let it dry overnight and call it a day.

Is the sheath to keep the wires together or is there protection the sheath provides?

You need to fix the sheath to extend back under the lamp.
> Loosen the two allen bolts about 1/8" to allow space to slide the sheah
under the lamp.
> Work the sheath from the other end down the wires to extend ~1/4" into
the lamp.
> Re-tighten the two allen bolts.

Had the same issue on my bike and very easy to fix. I sure wouldn't slather a bunch of silicone on the end.

I looked at the sheath, Thrill of it all and it looks like I will have to cut the zip tie and bring attempt to slide the sheath down quite a way. Everything looks smooth where the wires go in. Maybe I should just leave it and let the dealer deal with it at the 1000 mile service?.

Either way it needs to be addressed. If its not taken care of water will settle inside and you don't want that.

Just set an appointment to have it done Monday. That ways it's done and taken care of. SBates08, I didn't even think of the water thing. Good point! And with it being on the low side (left side) I'm sure that would be an issue.
