Updated the map again this morning and road about 150 miles out on the highway today. Now this one seems pretty nice. Best seat of the paints feel so far. Mileage seems OK too, but wont know for sure until the tank is empty.
I got a fuelpak in 2011 & installed it on my SG.The instructions said to disconnect the sensors,I didn't think of that on my own.Even with that a got a hesitation on take off. Finally got that ironed out but didn't feel like the bike was runnning as good as it should.Ordered a PCV from fuel moto & am now happy with the set up.With that said I'm glad ya'll are having good luck with the fuelpak.I have run nothing but V&H exhaust systems on all of the HD's I've owned & consider V&H a great company.
My average mileage before disconnecting the O2 sensors was 38.5-40. Ran better then stock but not a lot better. Disconnected the sensors and mileage dropped to 34.85 on two tanks. Bike runs great now, major power difference. No issues what so ever. Coming back from Tulsa yesterday, running 80-82 mph with a 20 mph head wind mileage dropped to 32. Still had plenty of git up and go if I needed it. 2013 Ultra Classic, head pipe is decatted, stage 1 air cleaner and stock mufflers. I don't think this is to bad for a 900 pound bike. I'm thinking when I do the full sac recores I might get a little of the mileage back due to less restriction, assuming I can stay out of the throttle.
Just filled up after the second adjustment. Back to 38 MPG and the bike feels great. Feels like at has a little more on the top end now in highway gears.
Craigffb did V&H give you a new map number? What changes did they make to the map you had?
Not a new map number....changes to my current map which is FP-4312.
I went through two interactions about 8-10 changes each. You can call them and they'll hook you up no problem. If your not running the same original map as I am I'm not sure my changes will help much.
For those of you that have disconnected the O2 sensors did you all use the 'dummy' or competition plugs or is there another method?
You don't have to use them. All they are for is keeping the plugs from flopping around in side the side cover. You could just zip tie them so they are not connected and out of the way.
