When he says Bendix he means starter clutch. The screeching noise is what leads me to think he's right. The way the starter clutch works is there are ***** that roll up a ramp until they can't go any further causing it to lock. When they go bad the ***** no longer lock and start slipping which would cause a screeching noise. Go with the All ***** starter clutch, it will solve your problem.
