Default Lowering Front Stock Floorboards

I'm 6'7", with a 38" inseam.I have an 2002 ElectraGlide Classic. I've been reading the post on the Tall Boy seat, seems like most tall riders don't like it. What would be perfect for me would be to lower my front floorboards about 1" to 1 1/2". There already on the lowest stock settings. Any ideas, looks like a pretty complicated stock mounting system, ( weighs alot too). Thanks John

I think that you would run into SERIOUS cornering issues....

I removed the floor boards on my 01 flhtci.
Bought a set of kuryakn pegs with heel support with offest adjustable mounts.
Can pivot them up down forward or back
Only thing I was able to find.

ndrag, I don't think I would want to lower them any more. They drag bad enough as it is around corners. I think if you rode in the mountains and curves alot, you'd scrape the boards to death. I'm not sure , but maybe you can get a different seat that would put you back a little bit more. They do Glides do seem to have a short cockpit for real tall people.

Before you say anything about the price, just let me tell you how happy you will be will Accutronix forward controls. If you are interested in them you must call and talk to them in person. They say that you have to have a true 34 in inseam minimum. That no joke. I am 5 10 and i can't even reach the pegs. The guys bike i installed them on had a 36 in inseam and he is in heaven now. Was one step away from not riding again, but this was the ticket. The way the controls instal is imagine taking off your engine gaurd and mounting a long peg to the mounting hole. Thats it....nice stuuf...if you don't mind the $$$

I'm 6'2" and wanted the same thing. I ended up putting on the Kuryakyn Cruise Arm Mark 4's. That is the perfect combination for me. I have the footboard, I can rest my heel on the floorboard and my foot on the Cruise arm (prefered position) or I can extend my whole foot to the Cruise Arm. I didn't like the look of the crash bar and these Cruise Arms were the ticket.

I'm considering doing something similar with my RK - I'm 6'8" with a 38" inseam. Really wishI could have the controls out there AND keep the engine guard. Well, a guy can dream, right?

You might be asking for trouble if they are lowered. Think about this, if you have a passenger or loaded down for a big trip those foot boards will be even lower to the ground. Stay Safe!
