I just changed front and rear tires on my RKC to Dunlop Elites and like the guy in this thread: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/evo-c...-paranoid.html
my rear tire has a small split all the way around the circumference of the tire although not as deep or wide yet but I only have 400 miles on the tire.
What gives with these tires? I guess I will be contacting Dunlop.....
I run E3's never had an issue. Looked at the link you posted, appears to be a bad tire. Not sure, but looks like maybe a box cutter got to yours. Really can't tell from your pic, but doesn't look to be down the center like the other rider.
Maybe a box cutter or knife when cutting off the wrapping. Who installed the tires? I have had good performance with E-3s.
Anyone know where exactly you measure tread depth on these E-3s? Getting ready to replace a rear and trying to decide if I should go ahead and replace the front also. Sorry about hijacking the thread. As you were.
Yeh, that doesn't look like the one in the link you posted. Yours looks more to be caused from something else. The other guys was split along the center seam, where the mold halves came together.
I've got almost 11k on my E3, other than getting pretty slick in the middle no other probs so far...
Ran the E III's since they came out until recently and never had a problem. As was said, does not look like a manufacture issue. I would be talking to where you purchased the tire from.
