I'm similar, fell in 09 and detached tendons, quarter sized tear in rotator cup. Then in 2010 fell on ice and did same to other shoulder ( getting old sucks). Have done therapy, didn't help, won't do anymore surgery ( 5 back surgeries and a quad bypass in the last 12 years, I live a hard life, lol) so I pulled my stock bars back while sitting in the seat and now, (with the help of cruise and meds) I can get about 350 miles a day in before the pain becomes too much
First off if you were in an accident you should have been examined for your long term wellness as well as any liability for long term expenses. I was in an accident 2 years back and soft tissue damage as well as internal scar tissue from broken ribs and a punctured lung caused me problems months later that I'm just getting over now with continual therapy....... I would suggest you suck it up and get to you doctor for a CT or MRI scan before you run into long term issues and expense that you shouldn't have to pay for out of pocket, not to mention the possible chronic pain you could endure if some damage isn't fixed.
Hey guys, any one out there ever experience shoulder pain while riding? mine is after riding about 2-3 hours. I had an accident back in april and was ran off the road and landed on my left shoulder but never had any pain from it till I got my bike back! I have stock handle bars on my ultra, it feels like someone hit me with there fist on the outside of my shoulder. And will last most of the day after I get off the bike. I guess I need to go to the doctor but I hate doctors in general. I looked on the web and the only thing that comes close to it sounds like bursidis and I only get it now riding my bike. It sucks cause Im a long distance rider and I have never experienced this till after the accident any thoughts on this would be great!
I fell down the basement stairs two days before last Christmas and beat myself up pretty bad ... Torn rotator in two places, partially torn bicep, partially torn bicep ligament, another torn ligament and while he was in there he removed bone spurs ... I'm just getting back to normal after surgery in early April ... Go to the doc and have 'em check you out.
