I got one of the 3 pouch Harley bags and the thing rattles and is driving me nuts. I took it off and found two of the rubber spaces that seperate the metal strip from the plastic fairing that runs on the bottom of the pouches were gone. I had some stick on rubber spaces that go on the botom of routers that were a perfect match and replaced the missing spaces. While it's better it still rattles enough to make it sound just like a knocking piston. I can put my hand on the pouch and it instantly goes away.
I like the pouch because thats where I put my MP3 player but the rattle is driving nuts. Anyone else have this issue and what did you do to resolve it? I'm ready to take the damn pouch off and figure out something else for my MP3 player. Beside that the hard bottom of the pouches makes anything you put in the pouches rattle. This windshield pouch is s **** poor design.
I had the same problem, but used Harley's single pouch for EG's. A simple fix is to glue black foam strips along the bottom front and alond the entire upper back side. The foam rubber muffled the sound and kept the excessive vibration at bay. It made a huge difference, that rattle before was driving me nuts at lower speeds. Good Luck
I have the single pouch and was getting a horrible rattlefrom the latch. I got a smallpiece of closed cell foam (tool box foamthat you can get at Sears) and cut it out with a razor to match my latch. Now there is absolutly no rattle and the latch fits snug. The closed cell foam was a little thick for the latch to catch, so I split it in half with the razor. Good luck.
Ahh, what would we do without Velcro? The best invention in years. I wish I could've thought of that. What was that movie where the guy invented silent velcro?
I know this is going to sound off the edge, but............with the 3 pouch unit the rattle drove my up a wall for a loooooooong time. Until I took my garage door opener out of the bag. Noise gone.....wrapped it in foam and reinstalled.

Me too! It wasnt the pouches rattling but its contents. I cut up an extra foam tool box drawer liner and glued them into the pouches. No more rattles!
I couldn't do without mine....line the bottom like mentioned before....it's the crap inside that rattles....I also put some extra rubber spaces under it.....
