Catalatic converter
Excuese my stupitity but does the new HD's have a catalatic converter ? I 've been trying to find a diagram of the new HD engines but cant find one. Had a dealer try and scare me to death about the new Harleys while trying to sell me a used bike. Said the old harleys were worth a mint because they haven't been messed with like the 07's. ????????? YEA OK.

Most if not all the '07's come with catalysts built into the mufflers (that's one of the reasons we're seeing oxygen sensors - to protect the catalysts). The life expectancy of the catalyst is usually less than 100 miles 'cause everyone replaces the mufflers with soemthing else -

My brothers 05 softail had cataylic converter in 1 of the 2 mufflers, cant remember which one. It was a california bike, and i would imagine they could meet epa specs by just doing 1 of them.
