Default Heritage bars

So when I had my Fat Boy I had a set of Heritage bars on them and they just felt great. See that a lot of guys here have them on their RK's and was curious what has to be changed to accommodate them. Had to swap out the brake line on the FB, hoping I don't have to extend the TBW.
Thanks

Default Heritage swap

I have an '06 Road King. The Heritage bars swapped out with no other changes. All of the cables reach and it's essentially just switching everything over to the new bars.

I have a 2011 Road King. There are 2 kinds of Heritage bars that people talk about. One is the bar from the Heritage and the other is the Heritage 'style' bar for the RK. There are a lot of people on here that like the Heritage bar. I tried it and felt the fitment wasn't quite right, but they were very comfortable. My clutch cable was too tight at full lock, so I switched it them out for a 'style' bar. For me, the 'style' bars feel about same, but now I am not worrying about stretching out the clutch cable (I figured the bars are cheaper and easier than the cable swap).

Yes, good point. I am referring to the "Heritage style" bar 56902-08. A lot of guys don't like the wrist angle on these.

Default Bars

I have the Heritage Style bars and love them. It gives my short arms a little relief due to their ability to reach back. The Heritage bars are a little more "curvy" at the ends...which don't fit me. It's a matter of personal preference.

I have the Heritage style bars on my 08 RKC - they're terrific, I'm very happy with them.

I have a set of real Heritage bars on my 04 RK, from a Heritage bike. Almost identical dimensionally to the Reach bars. Very comfortable to me.

Installation required no cable changes, but a bit of tweaking of the hard brake line was needed.

Only complaint I could have, and it's weak, is that the chrome doesn't match up perfectly with the rest of the chrome on the bike. It's a little, "grainier" and slightly bluer.

I have the Heritage-style bars on mine and have about 20,000 miles on them so far. I love them. I pulled them back and the wrist angle is perfect (for me).

It is a VERY easy DIY swap. No wires need to be changed. One of our brothers on the forum posted this step-by-step with pictures:

See attached photos for before and after showing pullback and height.

I have a 2006 RKC with the late model Heritage Handle bars and so far they are good. Better for me than the Heritage Style bars because they have a better wrist angle. Got them for $71,00 shipped for Suredyke.
