If you have a good running 88" now, a conversion to a 95" is alot easier, new pistons and cylinders and everything else remains the same but for the tuner/settings and the get up and go.
the 2008 96" is a stroked version of the twincam, when bored, it becomes the current 103"

Okay, someone mentioned that the trans/engine oiling system is different between the 2 models? I replaced my 96 with a 131 and someone is interested in purchasing my stock engine that has less than 1K miles.

They are not interchangeable, AFAIK. The TC88s and TC96s have different arrangements to supply oil from the trans oil tank to the engine. Your 131 will be a different version to one for a TC88 bike. I don't think it is going to be easy to do without also changing the trans for a later spec one, so trans and engine mate together correctly.
