Default Engine Swap

I have a 2006 flhx fuel injected and I have the chance to buy a 2008 flhx motor and transmission. How much difference is there in changing out my 88 ci for the 2008 set up 96 ci Will i need to purchase to do the swapping

Unless you're getting a SMOKIN deal, I'd build up that 88" motor. It'll make better power than a stock 96" will.

When you figure in things the only good part of the deal is the bigger crank. I guess the transmission also.
Otherwise about the same.

Which leads, if not careful, into headwork, bored cylinder, TB's, exhausts, cams, tuning and a whole lot of less money in your pocket. And if you are Married, UH-OH.

Totally different primary internals between the 2, for starters.
