2006 flhx engine and trans swap question

I have a 2006 flhx with carb and I have the chance to buy a 2008 flhx motor and transmisson. How much difference is there in changing out my 88 ci for the 2008 set up which is a built 103 ci, like exhaust and mounts and parts that I will need to purchase to do the swap?

Swap one for the other the mounts, exhaust and such are the same. Reuse your top motor mount braket and not the front one off the head.

That is true, I assumed it was all together. Need the late starter too!

i can get the late starter in the deal and the outer primary cover. so will my enternals fit clutch and primary chain or is that stuff year specific?

The engine compensator and the clutch basket/starter ring gear is different starting in '07, so I assume you would have to get all that to fit the engine and trans shafts as well.

Not sure about the inner/outer primary covers...
