Default please help! lowering blocks

I aquired a set of lowering blocks from a freind of mine. He took them off his road king custom because it was too low. Im now trying to install them on my roadking standard. The issue is, when I put them in place it makes my shock real wide at the bottom. Doesnt look right to me. There are 2 big spacers. Do they go at the top of the shock? Like i said I got these used so I have no instructions. Im trying to post pics off my phone but it wont let me

Just figured it out. I found the kit that I have online. There are spacers for the top and the bottom of the shocks. When he took them off his bike he didnt notice the ones on top and they're still on his bike. So all this time, he bought it a few years ago, his shocks have been about a half in wider at the top than they are at the bottom. Basically, when they try to compress, they are being pushed down and inward. That cant be healthy. We're going to get together and swap the spacers and bolts out. Here is a pic of the bottom spacer that I have and a pic of the top spacer, red bike, that he forgot to remove.

Looks to me from the picture of the red bike, he also has spacers on the saddlebag mounts, which you may need and he shouldn't.
