balancing beads

First 2 sets of dunlops on the vrod balanced with stick on weights-1st set 7,500 miles 2nd set pushed it to about 10k- tires cupped, bike handled poorly. First set of Avon Cobras with dyna beads- 13k miles and worn prefectly. 2nd set of Avon Cobras and dyna beads-8K and counting, perfect tread wear. How much of the difference is because of the Avon tire or the dyna beads? I don't know. I have to think a balanced Avon wears better than an unbalanced one though. To be sure I'd have to run the Dunlops with dyna beads or the Avons without them and compare results. Bottom line is this- I've found a combo that works great on that bike(and one that many owners have found to work on their vrods). My street glide seems to be wearing the original Dunlops just fine(currently at 13K) with the stick on weights. Will I change the tires on the Street Glide to Avons with Dyna Beads? Probably not. It's not broke so I don't need to fix it.
