my new tire on my SG has a vibration in it at cruising speeds, first tire i have installed and not balanced. im looking at ordering the balancing beads but see differnt brands. any certain brand you guys recommend over the next?
I've not used them, but I understand that you need to have enough beads to balance the tire. Some folks don't put in enough and they are disapointed. Find out what your tire requires for balance and make sure you have at least that much beads in weight.
I don't recommend them simply because they don't work.
i run a 70 aspect so im fine there and i dont agree they dont work considering how many ppl have used them and are happy. improper amount or many other factors can come into play and make them ineffective.
i looked into the sealant lion mentioned and really like the idea of getting balancing and extra protection for small holes as a temparary patch t omake it home safely
They work pretty well. I've used Dynabeads for quite a few years. I've got a new front tire coming and have ordered the Counteract beads for it. A friend suggested using beads several years ago to stop front tire cupping. Which they did. Haven't had any cupping on any tire since I started using them.
A lot of folks don't like beads, or think they're some sort of gimmick. All I know is that they work very well for me and are cheap enough so that you haven't lost anything if you do try them.

Your bike, use what you like. I would suggest taking all the weights off of your wheel, then mounting a tire without beads in it. Go for a ride. Then, without changing anything else, add the beads to your tire.
I bet you're surprised by what you find.
The beads offer a minor damping effect, but they don't (and can't) balance a wheel & tire. These hyper-intelligent beads are supposed to, without any outside input, find the light spot in your tire. They'll do this regardless of the fact that they'll be more likely to migrate to low spots (hence their hyper-intelligence). They'll also stay in those light spots, regardless of the fact that once a revolution, the inside of the tire is flattening out as it hits the pavement, and regardless of the fact that the rest of the time the tire carcass is expanding or contacting.
And then there's the whole question of how well they're staying in the right place during hard acceleration and panic stops......
I just mounted my new PM wheels with LOW aspect ratio tires and and used Dyna Beads. Rides smooth as a baby's butt. They seem to be working for me. Dyna beads gives the recommended amount compared to your tire size. My rear 200 took 2 oz my front 120 took 1 oz of beads. Putting them in can be tricky. I found a really cool way to insert them quickly if anyone is interested. Site says use a "vibrating" device like an engraver pen but my way works much quicker. This is the third set of these I've done. I've never had good luck with "stick on" weights staying on the rim. Had several fall off no matter how well they stuck when put on. No more concern about that issue now.
Those that don't like them or don't think they work, don't get them. All I know is mine seem to work just fine.
