Default Rain Gear recommendations???

What is the best quality/deal for a rainsuit that you can just pop on over your leathers???

Harley brand or otherwise. Websites???

Got caught in a brief thunderstorm downpour on highway 39/51 last fall on the way to Tomahawk

Soaked to the bone - swore it won't happen again.

THANKS in advance for the tips!!!

I have theH-D rain suit. It runs around $100 but worth it. I've only used it twice (both times heavy rain)but it works really well and folds up into it's own small puoch.

I've got the same suit, and it does work well. Rubber pad thats on your *** really locks you in. Its sized a little bizarre though. Jacket fit well, but the legs on the pants are pretty short, if you have longer legs. Puts pressure on your knees... a buddy of mine has blown knees and he has to use his highway pegs to keep his legs straight to work around this problem.

I looked at various brands and finally decided on the Nelson Riggs. They are a wind breaker,
rain suit and I like the price.

Here's one place that carries them and the price is reasonable.

Gor-Tex is too pricey for my tastes and I don't ride in the rain that much.

After searching the forum extensively, Harley seems to be the brand of choice for the basic rainsuit.

So which one of these three cheaper versions below is the better deal as far as price/quality/functionality andeasily fit over your leathers???

THANKS again for all the tips.

#1.) Men's Canal Street Rain Suit

Don't let the weather determine when you ride. This microdenier waterproof, seam-sealed jacket is made of ultra light fabric with a zipper front so it packs neatly into the hood for easy storage in saddlebags. Features a draw-cord waist, heat shield on the inner legs, reflective piping, a helmet-friendly hood, and Harley-DavidsonÂŽ graphics.

#2) Packable Rain Jacket & Pant

The sky shouldn't be the one to tell you when your ride's over. Precurved sleeves, elastic cuffs, and adjustable waist. Waterproof nylon is fully lined and seam sealed. Zipper and VelcroÂŽ-like hook & loop touch fastener. Inside pocket and removable helmet-friendly hood. Stirrups and articulated knees. Heat-resistant shield on the pant legs. Reflective material and single-hand draw cord at waist. Lightweight and packable.

Split it and get the middle one. If you're not going to be using it that much, you might be tempted not to carry it, then you may not have it when you need it. I never leave home without my rain gear, but if it didn't pack and burned up a half a saddle bag with space... I'd probably be tempted to forgo the space for other things.

I went the cheap route..Dry Rider. Nothing fancy but it's compact when stored and keeps you dry. I think the cost was about $15 or so. Available at most online motorcycle stores. Also use the rubber "Tote" type boot covers. Work great and have never had wet feet.

I have First Gear brand, only used them twice. Got them at a motocross shop. They have some features I like, But like all of them a pain to put on when it,s raining. IMO.

HD rain gear which includes the Rain Gaiter Lug Sole to prevent your boots from getting wet. Wet weather rider here and this stuff is good.

Ride safe,
