In the market for a cell phone mount, I like the set up RAM had utilizing the mirrior stud hole. What's everybody out there using? I'm a little weary of the phone flying out of the bracket from vibration or a bump in the road. I want to use it for my phone and perhaps a gps, same mount would be good as to save money.
got the Ram mount X Grip & use the u-bolt connection to the handle bars. Its great, we put over 300 miles on yesterday, never budged. I hit bumps at highway speeds that bounced me off the seat and it stayed put. Also hit speeds of 90+ mph... I would definitely buy it again.
I use a $1 clear front holster, it clips to the fairing pocket. used this for about the last 4 phones
the phone screen ( maps/directions) is in line of sight while watching the road...I don't have to look down when navigating and miss the deer running out in front.
when I stop for gas, I unplug the wire and put my phone in my pocket
you don't have to get too high tech

I use the one HD dealers sell for $50 or so. uses 2 holes in the switch mount. So far I have had no issues. Iphone4. I have Pandora app & road mapping app.
Thanks guys good input. IHC67 that was just the answer I was looking for. I live in Mass and these roads, especially the bridges, are notorious for bucking you out of the saddle.

Yes but the gov just raised the fuel tax and I am "sure" that will go to road repairs. LOL
I spend most of the short day rides in NH and avoid Mass roads.
ridersclaw.com has some nice mounts, pricey and customized to the phone. I have been thinking about one of them.
Ridersclaw looks great but it is pricey and with all the cell phones always changing not sure if I would want to buy a new setup if I changed phones with them being model specific
