A buddy gave me his '09 Service Manual thinking I might be able to use it to work on my '10 Street Glide. From what I can tell, I don't see many major differences -- but, I'm not an expert.
What do you guys think? For most things, can I rely on this previous year manual?
thing is, things do change and how would you know.
wiring diagrams for one- if you are following the 09 manual you could end up chasing your tail.
sell the 09 manual and get the 2010
for instance in the tranny alone 09 vs 10 ( source Model Year 2010 Technical Forum):
Helical 5th gear Has greater thrust loads.
Snap ring groove moved inboard by about 0.90to add material behind the snap ring.
Moving the groove resulted in a change to the guide hub, adding the counterbore.
there are also changes in the header, muffler, o2 sensors etc
