Default Road King Price?

I have found a 2001 road king locally with FI, Sampson true duals, 55k miles, lots of chrome, two tone blue and white paint, and comes with an extra set of chrome spoke wheels that come with the bike too. What is a good price on a bike like this? And what is probably the average selling price?

Default My Thoughts...

Average Asking Price: $9-10k-ish
Fair Price: $8K-ish
Good Price: $7K-ish

You'd probably have to pay cash or finance it through HD as most banks are going to give you a loan on a 13 y/o bike.

Fuel injected 01? Isn't that one of the years they had the crappy MM injection?

I bought my 2000 road king basically stock with 18k miles on it for 10 grand a couple years ago. Then I put another 5, not counting the paintjob in it just to make it look and go like I wanted it to. I'd say 10k is on the high side, 7k is probably a bit on the low side unless you just find a guy desperate for the money. And yeah, the MM injection was the standard until 2002 when the Delphi stuff took over. I've got near 50k on my bike now and have not had even so much as a single issue with the MM injection... but I have heard that if you take the motor too much past stage 1, it can be problematic.

I recently bought a 99RKC with MMFI with 26K miles in near mint condition with lots of nice chrome and Stage 1 upgrade. I gave $8200 and I thought that was a real nice deal including a new set of WW tires. In your case I wouldn't give more than $7500 if its really nice. At 55K miles expect some repairs and more maintenance in the future. There are to many nice low mileage bikes to not be picky. Good luck.
