I figured this much. How long is the gasket? I was able to preserve about an inch of it off the other non damaged end. I might be able to use that piece. Like I said I reached in there with needle nose pliers to pull off that lil piece sticking up and it kept coming and coming. I was like uh oh, this isnt good. Thats one of those moments when you know that mistake just cost some $$$$
Can take the cross over pipe to a muffler shop also and have them swell the end, very possible to reuse the gasket if you take your time and reform it.

The gasket is 1 3/4" in outside diameter and 1 1/4" in length. You need to get yourself a new gasket and a new clamp. Don't cheap out on this.
I'm putting Jackpot's on new V&H Powerdual headers when I get home from deployment in a few days. Can you post a pic of that mesh you're talking about so I know what NOT to pull out with needle nose pliers?
Thanks for the pic. So that's the gasket that goes where the crossover hooks together? Am I understanding this right? Or is there a separate gasket in addition to that mesh piece?
