need help, Jackpot header pipe

I figured this much. How long is the gasket? I was able to preserve about an inch of it off the other non damaged end. I might be able to use that piece. Like I said I reached in there with needle nose pliers to pull off that lil piece sticking up and it kept coming and coming. I was like uh oh, this isnt good. Thats one of those moments when you know that mistake just cost some $$$$

I also damaged mine but was able to form it back out to fit.
19,000 miles later no problems with it.
I could swear that the FM pipe was not bent correctly for a positive fit but was told its good.

I'm putting Jackpot's on new V&H Powerdual headers when I get home from deployment in a few days. Can you post a pic of that mesh you're talking about so I know what NOT to pull out with needle nose pliers?
