He maybe financing his bikes through a bank instead of floorplan. They hold the MSO and he needs to pay off bike before they release the paperwork. I have no way to know this is the case but might be a possibility. When in doubt, Ask questions

If you are paying cash sounds like bullsh** , but if payment by personal check you have to give it time to clear , that would be cool with me.

I agree. Ask the dealer why. If its sounds like a reasonable excuse, and your satisfied, go along with it. If not, just tell the dealer you will be paying for the bike when you pick it up. If he doesn't like this, just ask for your deposit back and go to another dealer. Remember the saying: "The customer is always right". If he wants you ashis customer he should be catering to you, not the other way around.

Let us know what happens. I'm curious...

I don't pay for anything 100% prior to delivery. It may be the dealers pollicy, but not something I have to agree to. There are other dealers. JMHO.

It's the Golden Rule -- he who has the gold rules! Once you've laid out all your cash, you've put yourself solely at the mercy of someone else.
