I paid by cash(personal check) and I had to pay early enough for the check to clear.
The contract wasn't final until I took delivery. It just showed that I paid a 100% deposit.
It was also fully refundable.

Sounds like total bullsh*t to me. What dealer is this? I've bought my last three Harleys at Motosport Plus in Kingston, On, and they don't do business that way. Perhaps a call to Deeley Canada might be in order for you?

I have an 2007 Ultra sitting at dealer. Ordered in November for March delivery. Gave then $500 deposit. Got $550 off freight & PDI.They have already installed approx $1,000 in bling bling. I mooched a HD tank display off them as well. They will allow me to put $5,000 on Visa (love those points). Balance payable on delivery and subject to customer inspection. Why would you buy a mc under your terms? You are placing yourself at great risk...something is fishy! I would look elsewhere.
