Default Antenna help Street glide

I want to replace that long antenna on my Street Glide. I have heard that some guys have cut the antenna down...What is the right length to cut the antenna and if I wanted an aftermarket what is the best one to buy?

Just cut it as short as you like , I would leave it at least a foot long.

15-18" is a good hieght to cut it down too. Just go to any auto parts store and find a rubber one for less than $10, they pretty good. Good Luck

I'm sure you have heard of the antenna kit available from the stealer that buries the antenna in the fairing. This is also a good option! The kit I believe is only $18 and can be done yourself if your not bad with a wrench. Really cleans up the bike too. Reception was my only concern, but mine works well and I live and ride in bumfu%@ egypt.

There is no "right length" to cut it to. If someone says they cut it and works ok for them, that does not mean much to me. It depends on the station that you're trying to receive, their distance from you, power they transmit, etc. Anytime you cut an antenna, your reception decreases, period.
