Packing for a 7-8 day trip
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
seriously, I got some of those space bags, the ones that you can get the air out of. Almost like a vacuum. Makes a big difference. Their fairly cheap, help you make better use of the space and they're waterproof.
One pair of jeans for each person - you wear those..
change of T-shirts and unders things for three days
shorts to wear while you wash the above line
small carry items for bathroom.

very fast list - if your wife/girl friend what to talk to the boss - PM me and I will have wife talk to her. over the past 10 years - she is the best at packing... I ride, she packs...
all in two saddle bags and a chopped tour pack with room to spare... max on the road 2 weeks..
attatch a bag to the top of your tour pack,,,get a rack
when on the road and no more room,,, UPS, your dirty stuff home!
If you pack it you wont use it,,,, if you forgot it, youll end up needing it,,, way it goes!!!
Pack few pair of jeans , sweaters , tons of socks and underwear , couple t-shirts , and buy a shitloadwhen I get there, they are cheap . Make sure you pack rain gear and extra footwear and gloves , froze my nuts off too many times in the hills on the way and learned to prioritize filling my saddlebags with the stuff you really need.

Extra ammo attached to the vest. Oh wait, sorry wrong road trip.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
4pairs of socks and underwear
4long sleeve teeshirts - I almost always ride with long sleeve tees
2pair of jeans
2sleeveless tees
1sweat shirt
1 sweat pant
shaving kit with travel size shampoo, toothpaste, etc (shaving is optional on the road right?)
Leather jacket/vest and chaps and/or rainsuit
extra pair of gloves (riding with wet gloves sucks)
Roll everything to pack, it takes up less space rolled.
That list (except the leathers) fits in one saddle bag on my Road King Classic, dunno "yet" whether it'll all fit in a hard bag on the Ultra.I figure on getting caught in rain at least once that'll require either a change of clothes or a dryer.
For me on long rides, one saddlebag is always filled with tools and roadside emergency stuff (tire plugs, can of fix-a-flat, first aid kit). On longer trips (5+ days) I always let the wife use the T-bag and fill to her heart's content (and yeah, she even packs a blow dryer).
