2014 left side master cylinder?

2014 left side master cylinder?
Why is there what appears to be a left handlebar master cylinder as well as the right handlebar? Is the clutch now hydraulic?

What was wrong with the cable clutch? Other than it's a bit heavier on the 103 than the 96? I like the fact you can adjust the cable. (I'm a fan of adjustable cable clutches from my Mustang Cobra track car days). Set the engagement where you want it.

adjustable clutches are awesome. They r practically flawless. U just bleed the line once in a great while. no biggie. Notice when your clutch gets hot, u get alittle extra play in your lever from the clutch plates expanding from heat. That will never happen with a hydraulic clutch. This is a nice improvement. Not sure about some of these other gimmicks though
