Default Buyers remorse

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the objective feedback on the 14s. I just bought a 13 Ultra two weeks ago coming over from a life of riding metrics and have never enjoyed 700 miles more. I couldn't help but feel crappy as I saw the new marketing video.
Looking forward to the 110th ride from DC, without a touch screen!

Its only money. The longer you wait, the more it will cost you. Sell it and get a 14.

Enjoy your '13 for a couple years while they work out the kinks.

Dude, don't fall into the marketing trap. In a few months, HD will be pushing the 2015's and that'll make the 2014's look horrible. You have a great bike, ride it and enjoy it. Ask yourself, do you really need all the extra accessories? If you truly can't live w/o them, quickly trade your 2013 in for a 2014. I'm sure you won't be the only one.

For me, I love my 2012. I've personalized it for me. I don't need HD to tell me what looks cool, I'll start with the base and make it cool, for me.

Very well put and quite accurate I would bet.
Look at some of the trouble the MoCo has had with the HK head unit, and now they have an advanced unit? Add to that the learning curve for the techs at the dealers and this will make for some good reading in the months to come here on the forum.

i'm sure the 13 will be great...but the whole world knows new models are on the way, right?

BTW new iphones are coming too- don;t rush out and buy one.

Ditto: Traded a perfectly good '07 Heritage for my '12 Limited, and I see absolutely no reason to jump. I've got it running well, it fits, and I'm going to be happy with it for a good long while.

I have to say that I am totally good with my decision to buy my 13 CVO RG. I knew when I bought it there was some major changes coming (at least I thought they were coming) and my thought was it would take a few years for the bugs to work out. Now that they have the "dual cooling" new touch screen, I am fine giving my dealer techs a few years to learn the new bikes, the Moco to make the necessary changes, and then, if I really want, will sell mine to a purist and get the latest technology. Just my opinion. So....ride your bike, enjoy it, read the threads (i agree with the previous poster, it's goint to get very interesting around here with those that get the early new bikes) and make the change when you want to.

Every year there is something better waived under our noses, sometimes its not so much of an improvement in the long run.

If you want the newest HD tech buy each year the week after the dealers meeting

I see some stuff that I like on the 14 ,steering head bearing, forks, maybe as more info comes out the engines both cooled and air since they are touting more power, it will be interesting to see if the air cooled are just 103 with a stage 2 (cams and better a/c and tune)

But I have a 2011 at this time and to me a touch screen radio, gps and bluetooth are not priority items and if I want it I can add through mods. Im still happy with my bike and not interested in a 14 model at this time.

You need to look at your 13 the same way , you said "never enjoyed 700 miles more" just because HD has something new out there why do you think you wont enjoy the next 70,000 more than any riding before and maybe in a couple more years it will be time to trade for a newer one
