This is a good place for all the buggs & butterflies to go.
That is why personally I would fab a nice black honeycomb grill to insert in the vent. Would be functional and look good too. Especially if the vent was color matched.

Next item in the 2014 parts and accessories catalog, color matched fairing vent 299.95
Honeycomb vent screen black, 159.99 color matched 209.99.... HD stands for Hundred Dollars.....Every time I step in to the dealer I spend at least Hundred Dollars! lol

And water. The vent I looked at and played with the other day even in the closed position I could see daylight through it. This will certainly be an issue if you ever plan to get caught and ride in the rain.
Saw them in person today. All of the upgrades are awesome. My only issues I saw were the bug collection you'd get in the vent. Not sure of a way around that.
The other is, Paul Klock was at the dealer yesterday. Sounds like the windshield holes are off by 1/2". Meaning windshields will need to be modified to fit.
It's my understanding that the tour packs will still be removable. If you look close the open spaces on the ultras are set up to accept CVO style signals.
Don't know about the tour pack; the lowers are not removeable. Just wait a few months and I am sure all the beta testers will be posting how great all the new changes are. At least until they take the bike in for the first service.
Dunno, but HD now states that you MUST NOT change the manufacturer or size of the tire on the new touring bikes. My guess is that the new linked brakes will puke all over the place if you mess up the ratios. Either that or they are just trying to sell more tires. In any event, even if you can make the change, if you do, the warranty card comes into play.
