Yea. I agree. 10k on 4-5 QTS. of any oil is a stretch without a filter change in between. As oils have gotten better over the years filters have gotten smaller. Granted synthetic media traps more than paper but even that has a finite surface area in which to capture particulates. My Benz has 10-15 k oil changes on syn but uses 9 QTS of oil. Even so it made me nervous to let it go 10k. The Benz supposedly has a system to tell when the oil is dirty and adjusts the interval as you go along.

Syn in all three holes, check.
Gas cap @ three clicks, check.
Get on from the correct side, check.
No doo rag or a$$less chaps, check.
Installed some silly looking ape hanger bars, check.
Got the absolute loudest 2-1 exhaust, check.
Been practicing my bad-a$$ biker scowl, check.
Think I'm ready to ride - hope I didn't forget something.
