So, who goes 10k miles with their synthetic oil? Anyone here? And for how long have you done it?.,,

Synthetic oil is thinner, so it cools faster. But while it does that, it also doesn't "cushion" the parts, so some parts are louder than with non-synthetic.

I use Amsoil in all three holes, change engine at 5k and all three at 10k. Why? Cause it makes me feel better.

I go 10K since it was new no problems even in the southern heat and 40K long trip road miles.

Also do the same in the 2 new cars I've bought a 95 with 160K and a 04 with 80K

Spending extra for full syn and changing every 3 to 5K is a waste of money

You said "For break in. No". No need to back that up. Syn is fine for break in. Everyone knows that. What do I need to prove?

Everyone knows Syn if fine? Hmmm.. If you get sick of reading these links i'll send you LOTS more. In every one of these articles syn vs non syn is mentioned. Specifically non syn for break in. Even the Amsoil link has a BREAK IN oil. Ohhh and it's a non syn. Weird. But then again what would they know they only make oil for a living.

Relax. Synthetic from factory for many vehicles. Stop propagating urban legends.

I use nothing but Synthetic, no I use only Dino Juice. Hell, I switch back and forth.
