Ok this is really bothering me. I installed a PCv a few days ago and mapped it. No problems with the way she runs except the Cruise control. I start the bike and everything is fine. I ride a few miles and hit the cruise and nothing. It turns on but doesn't lock in to hold speed. I also notice on my speedo the shift indicator goes out. I have the new speedo/tach combo. What do you think the issue would be? I am going on a nice ride in two weeks and will use the cruise for 90% of the 800 miles each way. Help!
have you checked both front and rear brake light switches to make sure they're functional. A faulty BL switch will cause your cruise to not work properly.

I had the same thing, with my PC-V. I added cruise control and had it calibrated at the dealer (45 clams later) and it works great. But, I'd ride a few miles and the cruise would shut down after the 6th gear indicator light turns off because of the PC-V. It has to do with the 6th gear indicator light. Sometimes the light is on and sometimes it's off. Electronically the cruise control believes that the bike/tranny is in neutral so it shuts down the cruise. There is a setting in the PC-V that you have to change and I can go thru it with you on the phone, but I have to plug mine in to remember the sequence. I got the issue resolved from Fuel Moto whom I bought my Air cleaner from and they sent me the map. I'm gtg now.
Or I can go do it and then post the sequence for others that may have the problem in the future, or both.

Plug PC-V into computer. Open PC on your computer. At the top there is an option for power commander tools>then configure>then Harley ECM data...a window opens up Harley ECM configuration. UNCHECK the box at the top that reads Diagnostic port enabled. It is checked by default.

thanks for taking the time to speak with me on the phone. I will give this a shot when I get home. This information is priceless to me. I was hoping that I wasn't the only one who had this happen. Drinks on me if you're in NYC.
