I think you are stuck with a MT90/16 or MU85/16 width tire in the rear unless you swap to narrower belt or chain.
that is the big limitation ( and this requires the swingarm off, inner and outer primary, primary drive and clutch if you want to swap belt width or to a chain drive)
so unless you have busted wheels, it'll get expensive and labourious to do a swap
you also have to consider the brake rotor and drive pulley alignment.
the late model IDS makes the rear not a fit for you

All of the above is good info. Do a Forum search, Timberland, Recycled, bigskyroadglide, me, & others have done a wide rim and tire conversions. There's also kits available. Really depends how much work you want to do.
The fronts can be made to fit, but the 09 and later rear wheels need major surgery. I only recall one HDF member who has done it to an earlier bike, but he cut and welded stuff himself.
Gentlemen, My husband has a 2001 Road King and I'm trying to help him determine if the 9 spoke wheel from a 2007 Heritage will fit with the addtion of a spacer/bearing kit and if so what the part list would be. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a 001 FLHT and am wondering f any of the newer bikes wheels will fit my bike. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Almost any front wheel can be made to fit. I would recommend switching to the 25MM front axle that way you can go to a newer model cast front wheel (most will fit)and use your old spacers and old rotors and brakes. IF you want to use the newer rotors, then you will be forced to convert your brakes to the new brembo style or go aftermarket. I put a 18" front cast wheel on my 04 by just moving to a 25 mm axle and re-using my old rotors. Fairly easy plug and play process.
for the rear, i when to a 17 x 4.5 rear wheel off a 07 SE RK, with a 170/60/17 tire. This required changing the rear fender, tail light, grab bar, swing arm and wheel and tire. I did not have to change the rear belt. I am still running the 1 1/2 belt with slim clearance (3/16 of an inch). I have approx 5K on my conversion and it is by far the best thing i have done to improve the handling of the bike.
