The new King can be made to look like a Classic pretty easily. You can order it with laced wheels and whites then put on the leather bags. The bumpers aren't lit anymore.
OP→You been living in a cave? No RKC for 2014 is old news and has been beat to death. HD discontinues things that don't sell and I'd guess that to be the case here. Unless maybe they plan to release it every couple of years to keep demand up.
I'm not surprised it got dropped except that this year the new Indians are coming out and I'd think Harley would want the RKC going against the Indians. Oh well, I guess Harley knows what they are doing.
Once HD declared ALL RKCs come with Security & ABS last year (and raised the price accordingly) we never sold another one. Price went to about $2100 MORE than a standard Road King. Killed it off, they did.
Most people around here seem to prefer hard bags that lock, have more capacity, are weather-tight & would rather run mags than spokes. Makes the Road King a more practical Touring bike, I guess.
