EBC HH are great pads. Go them in my Honda Varadero and Now my Roadking. Much better braking than O/E Pads. The only down side is a slight buzz you can hear from the discs when braking. I sort of like it. Mind you I can only hear the Buzz on the Honda. I guess most people hear won't hear it over their pipes ! :-)
Interesting topic... I just purchased a new 2013 Ultra on 8/5/13 with non-ABS and thought the brakes were great with the Brembo Calipers and all,,, first time washing my bike and the brakes suck now... with only 930 miles on the bike.
I used Bike Brite to wash everything and rinsed 2 or 3 times before moving on to other parts of the bike...
This is not my first bike,,, owned Harleys since 1985.
Im obviously not the only one whos had this issue. Ive owned bikes for over 30 years with many Harleys in the mix. Never lost brakes due to water until the z pads. Others have had luck with them, just as others have yet to to replace the Harmon Kardon radio or wheel bearings.
Then you didn't do enough research and searching on this forum.
Although one of the best for elimination of dust, the Z+ is not a good pad choice for wet conditions. It's great when dry, but when wet the stopping power is diminished.
Now enter the Lyndal Gold+, a little more dust, but excellent stopping power wet or dry. I speak from experience on this. I have owned and run both sets, and once I saw how poorly the Z+ performed in the rain, I switched immediately to the Gold+ based on the experiences I found by searching this forum.
Well, I been trying to contact Lyndall for 4 days now without success. Two emails and numerous phone calls and messages. No response at all. Getting EBC's this afternoon, and the Lyndalls in the trash.

You made the right choice. The EBC HH Sintered perform better than the Lyndalls, wet or dry.
Much less than the stock pads, maybe a little more than the Lyndalls. I don't judge brake pads that way though. I'm more concerned with short, consistent stops than pretty wheels.
