I just purchased a 21 fat spoke chrome wheel with white wall tire for my 2013 Road King. The motorcycle is barely two months old, and does not need tires yet, but I could not pass up the deal. I'm way too cheap to replace near perfect tires, but I want to have all my ducks in a row when she actually DOES need new shoes. As many already know, there are absolutely ZERO quality tire options in the 120/70-21 front tires sizes, so I am stuck with the Vee Rubber that came with the package. I would like to purchase a WWW rear tire, just to have around when the time comes to make the switch. That way I can do both and have matching wide white walls on the front and rear.
So my question is, what rear tire do you match up with a Vee Rubber front??? Do I look for a high end Avon or Metzler, or do I just slap on the cheapest piece of crap to match the Vee Rubber? I would love to hear what people with the 120/21's up front, are running on the back of their bikes. Especially the radial/bias mix and match guys. Please advise.
Thanks for the replies. Kyote, I looked at Shinko as I think they are pretty much on par quality wise with what Vee runner is selling, but could not find a 180 tire. I found lots of 130 and 150 WWW tires, but no 180. You got a link? If I'm going cheap with the tires, they at least ought to match. LOL
