2014 Boom 6.5" Speakers

2014 Boom 6.5" Speakers
First off, I am no audiophile. That being said, I had the new Boom 6.5" speakers installed on my 14 SGS yesterday and you can, not that you would want to, run them at full volume with little to no distortion. The new head unit pushes 25 watts per channel, I think, and that is plenty of power for my taste.I am coming from a 2012 Limited with the Boom amp, Boom speakers, and bass ports (standard on the new limited), and my new bike blows it away. There is no comparison in the sound!
I sat back in the service bay with the tech at Wildcat while he did the install. It was the first set of new speakers they had installed. Took Pat, who is an awesome tech, over an hour on the install. Brad only charged me 30 minutes because he wanted to hear the new speakers.
All I can say is do this upgrade! There is no comparison to the previous speakers. I have bass!

I'm thinking of doing some upgrades to my 14 SGS. I dont think I want to go with the harley speakers. I had a custom install on my 13 RK and I went with JL Audio 6.5 in my Reckless Custom Fairing and Hybrid Audio Tech for my saddlebag speakers. I think I will do the same for my SGS, I might go with HAT 6.5's instead of JL and get a better AMP. This will definitely be a challenge since it has voice commands and Navi. I ran into the Same problem when I had a custom job done on my Infinity. JL Audio Clean Sweep did the trick. I just don't feel comfortable forking over 200 bucks for some speakers that can be better for the price.

Thats great to hear. I bought a 14 limited last week and the first thing i ordered was the boom upgrade, front and rear speakers and a 300 watt amp. I was second guessing my order after hearing how good stock was. Im hoping it will be in this week. Thanks for the review.

$999.95 for the 4 speakers and amp. I dont know what they charged to install because i had a few other parts installed at the same time.
