Lower Engine Knock
OK guys, I'm at my wits end. Ridin a 2010 ultra classic, got 45000 miles on it. I've developed a hard knock in the bottom front of the motor. Its only under a load do you hear it. You can race the motor all day and never hear anything but as soon as you put it in gear and let out on the clutch you get a loud knock on the lower left front of the motor. I'm gonna replace the front engine mounts but really don't think that's my problem. There is no issues with power and if your riding and take off from a start it knocks like hell but lay into it and the knock goes away. I'm not getting any type of code so that makes me wonder also. Bike runs great other than knock. Also checked oil and oil filter for metal shavings and everything was clean. Can any one give me input. Also...done checked the compensator sprocket and re-torqued it.
