Well, I Finally picked her up Saturday morning. Now It's wrench time for the next few weeks. Need to order a battery, and drain tank/carb and see how it fires up. then onto fluids and check brake lines. Rear disc doesn't look good.
So much caked on dust.
Here are some pictures
I'd love to find a bargain like that! Had about 60k on my '93,when I used that cylinder base gasket leak as an excuse to tear apart the top end and have some head work and a cam [s&s 510] installed.
I think you'll have fun working on it,and have some value added to it by getting to know a lot about the bike!!

Thanks, it will be fun tearing into it.
Did you use Harley base gaskets?, or are the aftermarket ones just as good or better?
I pulled the air cleaner cover off, and the filter is a stocker. I'm assuming this bike is completely original. Not sure if the mufflers are originals. Got this crazy fishtail thing going on.
Gonna need tires, bike has been sitting so long that I don't trust the tires on there, although the look almost new.
I love my old bike too, but really? You need to schedule an appointment for a brain scan if you're serious. There's something wrong up there. Maybe a short trip to the dealership for a closer look at what those 2014 models offer.
Bike looks good.
The rear brake disc is just ugly from sitting. Once you run the bike the brake pads will make it shine again.
Looks like "detailing" will take a while.
That bike will look great once it goes through a massive detailing, new tires, battery and a major service.
In regards to someone mentioning a cam bearing..it is my understanding that the issue was related to cam upgrades. Specifically failure to upgrade the cam bearing during the cam upgrade.
In regards to parts...J & P cycle has just about everything for ordering.

Who did you buy this ride from? Is your bike leaking? You show ME880 at the rims. Look at the date of make. (rusty rotor pix)
